The Jungle in Calais

The majority of Kate Evans’ [journalism] work took place in a refugee camp located in Calais, France. This camp, which housed an assortment of refugees from various countries, was referred to as “The Jungle.” Evans’ book frequently depicts the confusion, discomfort, and frightening living conditions the refugees were subjected to, with no clear end in sight.
